Fearing the worst she immediately packed her things and helped her through the ordeal, in awe of her new grandchild. Once she was sure Alexandria was safe with her family, she moved to Los Angeles to run her fashion firm.

Sending her to debutante school, she found out the hard way just how stubborn Alex really was. Problems arose and consequences as well as punishments ensued. Nothing worked until Marie agreed to Alex's condition that she would behave if they moved to Forks.

Marie has secretly been talking to Carlisle and Esme Cullen ever since she had started to care for Alex, having a bad feeling of bringing her to Forks. After much reassuring, she has finally decided that this is what is best for her granddaugther right now, hoping for her happiness.
